Cameron Clark began his musical journey at just five years old. Growing up in church, he was always surrounded by music while his parents sang in the choir. Whether he was sitting in the front pew or near the musicians, Cameron was fascinated — not just by the drums, but by every instrument and how musicians worked together to create one powerful sound.
By the age of eleven, Cameron began taking drumming seriously. In middle school, he strengthened his ability to read music and learned to play different styles. He participated in marching band, orchestra, drumline, and other music programs, building a strong foundation as a well-rounded percussionist.
Even at a young age, Cameron’s talent stood out. While still in middle school, he was skilled enough to compete and perform with high school drumlines, including Peninsula High School in Palos Verdes — which later became his alma mater.
At Peninsula High School, Cameron fully committed himself to music. He traveled and performed at various events and jazz festivals. One of the highlights of his early career was performing on the same stage where legendary jazz drummer Roy Haynes once performed.
After graduating, Cameron continued his education at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, where he earned his Associate Degree in Music.
From there, he began his professional career, performing in churches, with bands, and alongside various artists. He has played at private events, parties, festivals, and live venues across many stages.
The Cameron Clark Experiment, led and organized by Cameron Clark, is made up of talented professional musicians who have performed together at many venues and events. The group has also shared the stage with artists such as hip-hop performer Black Cobain and Kevin Nash.
With a funky and unique sound, Cameron Clark & The Experiment delivers an exciting and versatile musical experience. The band performs across multiple genres, including R&B, jazz, soul, old school, and more.
